The Austrian Corona is a one ounce silver coin minted by the Austrian Mint. It was first minted in 2008 and has a face value of 1.50 Euros. The obverse of the coin features the Austrian coat of arms, while the reverse features a depiction of the classic Greek goddess Nike.

The Austrian Corona is part of a series of coins known as the ” Vienna Philharmonic ” which also includes a one ounce gold coin. The series was launched in 1989 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

The Corona is one of Austria’s most popular coins, due in large part to its beautiful design and high silver content. Each coin contains .999 fine silver and weighs one ounce.
