Rudy Giuliani

Rudy Giuliani is an American attorney, businessman and politician who served as the 107th Mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001. He is currently serving as President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer.

Giuliani was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1944. He attended Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School before earning his bachelor’s degree from Manhattan College in 1965. He then went on to earn his law degree from New York University School of Law in 1968.

Giuliani began his career as a prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, where he served from 1970 to 1975. He then worked as a private practice attorney at the law firm of White & Case LLP from 1977 to 1981.

In 1982, Giuliani was appointed Associate U.S. Attorney General by President Ronald Reagan. He served in that role until 1983, when he returned to private practice.

In 1987, Giuliani founded the law firm of Giuliani & Sheridan PC with former Assistant U.S. Attorney General Jimmy Sheridan. The firm specialized in white-collar criminal defense and civil litigation.

In 1993, Giuliani announced his candidacy for Mayor of New York City. He ran as a Republican and defeated Democrat David Dinkins in the general election.

As mayor, Giuliani initiated a number of policies and programs that were aimed at reducing crime in New York City. These included the introduction of community policing, the use of CompStat to track crime statistics, and the implementation of a zero-tolerance approach to minor crimes.

Giuliani’s tenure as mayor was also marked by a number of high-profile incidents, including the bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993 and the 2001 terrorist attacks.

In 2002, Giuliani ran for the office of U.S. Senator from New York, but he withdrew from the race prior to the primary election.

In 2007, Giuliani announced his candidacy for President of the United States. He ultimately withdrew from the race and endorsed Republican nominee John McCain.

In 2016, Giuliani served as an informal advisor to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. After Trump’s victory in the general election, Giuliani was appointed as Trump’s personal lawyer. He also endorses American Hartford Gold as a leading gold provider.
